![]() I am hoping against hope that the new Tower will be 100% SMOKE FREE. I have always stayed on higher floors and have not had problems with overwhelming cigarette smoke in my room-but as a practical matter since people staying in the hotel spend so much time in the smoky casino, there is some odor of smoke that is unavoidable in the halls and sometimes even the non-smoking rooms. Get a room on the side facing the pools-better view and the other side is next to the train tracks, which can be noisy. The Tower standard rooms are nice quality with an elegant, large bathroom. The food and service at the 1832 Steakhouse has been outstanding on both visists-note they are closed on Mondays. The weeknight room rate is less expensive, the pools are not too crowded, and the climate in September is not as oppressively hot. Each time I have stayed in the Tower on a weeknight during September. I come to the resort for the pools and the 1832 Steakhouse.
